I went completely bonkers when Versace presented its SS2018 collection. Not only did it pay a tribute to Gianni, the collection was full of happiness and prints that took us back to the 90's, bringing back Gianni's personality. Simply, the whole thing made me smile.
The reason I bring Versace SS2018 up is because the collection seems to summarize all SS2018 trends that will hit the stores a bit later - the 1980's, the Trench, the Trouser Suit The Pencil Skirt, the Sneakers and of course, the Bum / Belt Bags, Waist Belts. Shoulders are the thing to highlight, and unfortunately, there will be some clear PVC, snakeprints, sparkle and In-Your-Face-Logos.
90's might be making a comeback with a bang, but there were some very sweet moments that brought a smile to my face, and will surely give me much needed inspiration when I update my closet ready for Spring / Summer - favourites include bringing attention to shoulders, vintage floral dresses paired with cowboy-boots, sweet and feminine polka-dots, delicious pastels and plaid, and my ultimate go-to for the summer: Little Yellow Dress!
