Rakastan hedelmiä – etenkin vastapuristetuissa mehuissa ja smoothieissa – ja siksi olinkin super iloinen törmätessäni tähän mehubaariin aivan kotini lähettyvillä. Hauskaa on myös se, että paikka on melkein kaimani – nimittäin mehubaarin nimi on Adamah juice bar! Omistajaa itse asiassa nauratti, kun kerroin nimeni. Hän ei ollut koskaan tavannut Adama nimistä henkilöä, ja hän oli selkeästi hyvin iloinen tilanteesta. Vihdoin siis mehubaarin ja minun tiet kohtasivat haha. Upean paikan lisäksi oli omistaja todella mahtava tyyppi, ja hän kertoikin meille hieman enemmän mehubaarin taustasta. Nimeen hän oli päätynyt siksi, koska sana Adama tarkoittaa hepreaksi maata, ja mikäs sen parempi nimi kuvaamaan terveellistä mehubaaria. Ainakin minun mielestä todella osuva nimi! ;-)
Omistaja kertoi myös, että kaikki paikan mehut sekä smoothiet on valmistettu tuoreista hedelmistä, ilman lisättyä sokeria taikka lehmän maitoa. Sounds perfect to me! Olen meinaan huomannut, että valitettavan usein smoothiehin lisätään valkoista sokeria, vaikka hedelmät jo itsessään sisältävät makeutta eikä lisätty sokeri ole mielestäni tarpeellista… Siispä kaiken muun hehkutuksen lisäksi – tästä myös paljon plussaa paikalle.
Myös paikan sisustus on tarkkaan mietitty ja tiskillä on esillä tuoreita hedelmiä, kukkia ja sekä kauniita astioita. Listalta löytyy laaja valikoima raikkaita mehuja sekä smoothieta – vihreistä makeisiin herkkuihin. Omistaja kertoi itse keksineensä kaikki reseptit ja suositteli minulle Carrot Cake smoothieta, joka sisälsi ainakin porkkanoita ja kanelia. Olin yllättynyt, kun smoothie itseasiassa maistuikin ihan kakulta, mutta vain terveellisemmässä muodossa. Poikaystäväni maistoi tuhdimpaa Amazon smoothieta, jossa oli hieman enemmän proteiinia – se maistoi myös hyvältä.
Voin siis lämpimästi suositella tätä mehubaaria, jos satut matkustamaan Barcelonaan ja haluat napata mukaasi raikkaan smoothien tai mehun. Omistaja vinkkasi myös avaavansa pian uuden baarin nykyisen lähettyville – täytyy siis käydä katsastamassa myös se, kun se avataan! ♥ Adama
// I love fruits – especially fresh juices and smoothies – so I was super happy when I found this cute juice bar near to my place one day. Also, what a coincidence that the name of the place is Adamah – almost like my name haha. The owner was also really nice and he laughed that he had actually never met a person called Adama, but he came up with the name for the place because the word Adama means in heprew earth. In my opinion a perfect name for a natural juice bar! ;-)
Adamah juice bar is full of fresh stuff and the list has a variety of different tasty juices and smoothies – from greens to sweeter flavours. All of them are prepared without added sugar or cows milk. Sounds awesome to me – as many times places seem to add white sugar to their smoothies, even though fruits have already a lot of sugar and no added is needed, in my opinion. The owner told that he has done all the recipes himself and he recommended me to try the Carrot Cake smoothie. Cake in a smoothie sounds too good to be true! And I was actually quite surprised how much it resembled the real carrot cake taste! My boyfriend tried the Amazon smoothie which had more protein in it and it was also really good and sweet. Together with all the awesome stuff, the place is also decorated really nicely with fresh fruits on the counter, beautiful old pots and flowers.
They are also opening a new place nearby and I will for sure go and test that one too. Maybe you already understood my love towards this place but I can highly recommend it to you too! If you ever step by Barcelona and you want to grab a tasty but healthy juice/smoothie with you – go there! Love, Adama.
