Huh hellettä! Meillä täällä Suomessa on ollut oikea pitkä kuuma kesä, joka vain jatkuu ja loppua ei näy! Sadan vuoden lämpöennätykset ovat paukkuneet ja sadepäiviä on ollut harvinaisen vähän. 34 C on nyt ennätys. Ei muuta kuin Duranit soimaan ja sihisevää auki!

Maiju on luonut loistavia DD -soittolistoja spotifyhyn. Löytyvät sieltä nimillä Duran Duran after exercise ja Duran Duran for exercise.

Kesä lähti jo toukokuusta hyvin Durantäyteisesti käytiin, kun bändi julkaisi uudelta levyltään Future Past ensimmäisen sinkkulohkaisun Invisible 19.5.2021. Samana päivänä (!) elämäni koki sen suurimman mullistuksen ja sain pienen poikavauvan. Siksi minusta ei ole kauheasti blogissa kuulunut. Nyt alkaa vauva-arki hiljalleen asettumaan ja on aika palata taas blogin ääreen paremmin – aina, kun ehdin. Maiju oli ihana ja toimitti koko perheelle Duran -paidat odotusaikani loppusuoralla tsemppaukseksi. Ks. Kuvat!
Invisible on aivan uskomattoman hieno tiivistys bändin monia vuosikymmenten aikana kokeilemiaan musiikkiaineksia myös soundillisesti yhtä aikaa ollen hyvin moderni pop biisi – eli toisin sanoen willit pojat onnistuivat taas! Upea biisi kertakaikkiaan ja testatusti tanssittava. Innostuin tästä biisistä heti ensikuulemalta! Tsekkaa biisi spotifysta, jos et ole jo kuunnellut sitä.
Tässä kuussa myös toinen biisi Give it all up julkistettiin lokakuussa ilmestyvältä pitkäsoitolta. Se ei tehnyt minuun aivan yhtä suurta vaikutusta, mutta ei huono sekään. Tämä kappale ei löydy vielä spotifysta.

Violence of summer – when love’s taking over!
Maiju has published some awesome DD related Spotify music lists. If you are interested, the song lists are named ” Duran Duran after exercise” and ”Duran Duran for exercise”. The lists are already proved to be excellent by me.
The beginning of the summer was already full of DD as the band released the first single called Invisible from their forthcoming album Future Past on 19 May 2021. On the same day my own personal life was totally changing when my first baby saw light. That is why I have been quite a silent lately not publishing that many texts I used to. Now it is time to start writing more often. Maiju was nice to send me a DD related gift in the last month of my pregnancy. Kindly see the pictures.
Invisible is a great compilation of DDs different music styles they have been experimenting during their active decades. It is a fascination mic of old and modern music. To put it other words, the wild boys are back again! It is tested to be a danceable song as well. Check the song out from Spotify if you have not yet!
Also another song Give it all up was released (not yet available in the Spotify though) from the new album this month. It isn’t Invisible but it is not bad either if you ask me.
