DENMARK

I spent 5 days in Denmark last week and this getaway was a good kick start for the autumn. First I traveled to Aarhus, where I was visiting my lovely french friend. On Monday I left Aarhus behind and traveled to Copenhagen where my sister was already waiting for me. We spent 3 days in Copenhagen, mostly just exploring and enjoying the city. The amount of bikes in the city amazed me and actually reminded me of Amsterdam. To be honest, Copenhagen didn’t really feel like a Scandinavian city at all, it had more of a middle-European city vibe.

The amazing Hay House. As a huge fan of Danish design, Hay House was like a paradise. I ended up mostly admiring the products and interiors, but brought something small back home as well.

Pwah, these all cute buildings. 

Besides HAY, Stilleben was another good design store experience. Especially the copper vases delighted me (seems like my obsession with copper won’t end anytime soon) and also the many different art/graphic posters.

Located in Norrebro’s Torvehallerne -shopping mall, Grot served us a delicious oatmeal brekkie. I had my rice milk oatmeal with blueberries, dried berries and skyr. The serving was about 5 €. I wouldn’t say no to this kind of oatmeal ”bar” in Finland as well.

Botanical Garden was another amazing experience. The ”palm house” with many interesting plants and species was my fave. The outside area of the garden would be nice for a lunch picnic, but we left it for the next time!
