Radio silence is over

Kuten kerroin aiemmin, kovalevyni, joka sisälsi ainoan kopion lopputyöstäni, meni rikki. Hyvä uutinen oli, että kun lähetin sen korjaukseen minulle kerrottiin, että edulliseen 650 euron hintaan tiedot voidaan palauttaa. Hyväksyin tappion ja odottelin tiedostojani palautettavaksi.

Tiedostoja ei ole kuulunut ja nyt en ole saanut kyseiseen firmaan kahteen viikkoon yhteyttä soittamalla, tekstiviestillä enkä sähköpostilla. Alan epäillä, että se firman mies makaa asunnossaan kuolleen kissojen syödessä miehen naamaa..

Olen siis joutunut tekemään uudelleen neljän kuukauden työn, koska deadline lähestyy, enkä ole kovin luottavainen siihen, että näkisin tiedostojani enää koskaan. Tästä on johtunut pitkä hiljaisuuteni blogimaailmassa. Vuorokaudessa vaan ei ole tarpeeksi tunteja..

Kohta olen lähdössä mökille pääsiäisen viettoon (lue: tekemään töitä eri pöydän ääreen). Jospa mökillä saisi kuitenkin nukuttua hieman pidempään kuin tavallisesti. Tässä hyvää mieltä tuovia kuvia koiruleista mökillä.

As I wrote earlier, my hard disk, which included the only copy of my Master’s thesis, broke. The good news was that for the small price of 650€ the files could be restored. I accepted my losses and waited for my files to be rescued. Now I haven’t been able to contact the firm with phone nor email for two weeks. I am starting to think that the guy from the firm is laying dead somewhere and his cats are eating his face..

Anyways, that is why I have had to remake four months worth of work since the deadline is closing and I am not too confident I am ever getting my files back..This, on the other hand, has resulted my long silence in the blog world. The just isn’t enough hours in a day.

Now I am leaving to go to our summer place to spend Easter (i.e. work at a different desk). I am hoping to at least get a little bit more sleep than usual. Here are some pictures of our dogs at the summer place. Dogs don’t really have anything to do with this story but they make you feel happy.
