Halloween

It’s Halloween! Fiilistely alkoi jo viikkoja sitten Atlantassa ja tuntuu, että nyt on virallisesti syksy. Futiskausi päättyi pikkuisten kanssa ja talla viikolla aloitin valmentamaan taas luistelua. Päivät, kun valmennan, on viikon parhaita päiviä. 

Virallisesti Halloween oli  maananataina, mutta me pukeuduttiin jo lauantaina;) Asuna mulla oli sama kuin viime vuonna, traffic cop! Meillä oli hyvä tiimi mimmien kanssa: kissa, roller derby pelaaja ja mä poliisina. Yleisesti täällä heittäydytään täysillä kaikkeen ja monet naapurustot on koristelleet viimesen päälle. Asuihin on myös panostettu ja yksi parhaimpia oli Homer Simpson bailaamassa lauantaina. 

Pari viikkoa sitten vietin Chicagossa viikonlopun ja paikka vei mut mennessään. Ihan älytön kaupunki. Tunnelma, itse kaupunki ja mahdollisuudet olla ulkona & liikkua ilman autoa tuntuivat mun jutuilta. Vaikka aina hehkutan tätä lämpöä, kaipaan kirpeää syksyä ja lunta. Chicago voisi olla tuleva kotikaupunki!

It’s Halloween! We started to get ready for it weeks ago and the decorations around the city were impressive, some succeeded being creepy. I think fall officially starts after Halloween though it still has been hot during the day. Soccer season ended with the little ones and today I’m back at coaching skating. The days I’ve coaching are my favorite ones. 

Monday was the official day for Halloween but we celebrated it already on Saturday. My outfit was the same as last year: traffic cop;) In general americans go fully in when it comes to holidays and decorating. You could see great and crazy outfits put together, probably my favorite one was Homer Simpson taking over the dancefloor in a club. 

Couple of weeks ago I spent a weekend in Chicago and I totally fell for it. Neighborhoods, weather, ice sports and the fact that you don’t have to drive everywhere makes me think if that should be my next home..
