Snooping around on restaurant day
I toured around Helsinki on the restaurant day in august with a friend. One of our first stops was at Kruununhaka, in someone’s home in an old building. And, let me tell you, it was a nice house. I couldn’t help but feel like I was snooping around, sitting at the flower-decorated table. Still – so cool getting to see random people’s apartments!
Helsinki rooftops seen from the balcony of the building. (That’s the cathedral.)
The tour continued and as the neighbourhood changed, bruschetta breads and white table cloth changed into veggie burgers from a grill served by the youth left organisation. Very similar-minded rap artists were throwing the beats right beside.
At the end, I don’t know which one I felt more comfortable hanging around in. But this is where it ended up. On a hill in the middle of the city, having the last piece of cake that would make your stomach hurt.
