Excusez-moi for the bad photos, and other whining

Yesterday I popped outside with my camera to catch some of that autumn light, but my attempt failed as too much clouds kept appearing.

I’ve been going back looking through the last photos from the summer – that strange time long ago when you were able to go outside without a wool sweater and scarf.

I remember from a year ago how I was sweating in the parisian metro, then walking up the street full of people, glancing through windows to the african barber shops. I regret not taking photos of that! The hood.

Talking about my camera, I want to get a new objective. Although I keep thinking I should maybe take a course first, lately I have been feeling like all my pictures fail. Also I have to admit there’s a bit of a lack of inspiration: compared to Paris, no wonder the interesting subjects seem rare in Turku…

(This is when the realist in my head goes: THAT’S AN EXCUSE! You should just go and take all the photos you can! This is your hobby! The only one you have!)

But. Yeah. If going out on a weekend afternoon you find more than the same three people on the streets you saw yesterday, there’s a party going on.

Well, at least there’s that.

(This is so bad, sorry for the whining! The cold weather makes a blogger bitter!)
