Crimes of Fashion
Exhibit B
Metallic purse
Tiny, tiny, tiny. Not very practical. Not at all practical. Practically useless.
Case history
The accused saw the purse at the Copenhagen & Other Stories store and just…had to…have…it.
There were so many other options available. Options infinitely more practical. (Note the word ‘practical’. It shall be the key point of this argument.)
To continue: the accused went – yet again – against her better judgement and bought the little purse, since it was alluringly different. It also lured the magpie in her with its shiny, shiny surface.
Every time – rarely – the accused uses the purse, she is afraid of losing it and all her belongings with it. Not that she could fit much of them in the purse anyway.
Verdict
Impractical fool.
Sentence
The accused is pardoned, since the purse still looks cool. Besides, sometimes a little impracticality is necessary.
Case closed.
