Have No Fear of Perfection…
…you’ll never reach it.
Salvador Dalí
You know those women who can paint their nails immaculately, even in a moving car?
I’m not one of them. In fact, even after years of practice I paint my nails like a toddler with slow and careful strokes. And still my nails end up looking like a…well, like a toddler did them. My hand always ends up shaking at the worst possible moment. Maybe, I have nail polish anxiety or something.
Is that a thing? Could that be a thing? Maybe, I’ll make that my thing.
The gist of this little tale is that I don’t think I’ve ever had a perfect set of nails. Never. However, I’ve learned to accept it.
It’s not like my style or look is based on perfection anyway. I’d be doomed, if I was aiming for that. My hair alone would drive me to the brink of insanity.
And I just can’t help buying nail polishes…Especially, when I find a cool new colour, like this ’Pink Gold’ nail polish from Mavala. The colour of the polish changes depending on how the light hits it. Sometimes its pure gold and sometimes a blend of pink and gold. Unfortunately, the pictures don’t do the colour justice. Trust me I tried every possible angle.
A nail polish success story below.
And the reality.
Any tips on getting better at this whole nail polish thing are greatly appreciated.
