Colour Outside the Lines
For the first time in years, I bought myself some colouring pens. When I was a kid, I used to loooove colouring books and had, always, one with me. I also had a stack of colouring pens and would use every colour possible. The same with my drawings…lots of orange people with purple hair and pink/yellow shirts. I was not one for realism.
Nowadays, I mainly draw and sketch with pencils, but I figured it was time to get in touch with my inner child and get some colour back in my life.
At first, I wasn’t sure how I would utilise my brand new colouring pencils. It seemed I had lost my childhood zest for colours and fun. My imagination had left the building. I was already considering drawing endless flower montages, when I had an epiphany.
Clothes.
No limits to colour combinations. No limits to anything. Well, except for my imagination.
After drawing various dresses that even peacocks would deem too flashy, I drew a couple of ones that I might actually consider wearing…if someone would be kind enough to make them.
A wrap dress or a jacket?
