Democracy in Fashion

Today, I concentrated on torturing myself after work. Translation: I did a mini workout by running stairs and doing planks, push-ups and squats.

Good times. Not.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the feeling that I get after exercise, but the process itself I could do without.

As you can probably tell from that little story, this is not today’s outfit, which consisted of running tights, a top and a red face.

Jeans, Seppälä/Jacket, H&M/Shoes, New Look/Shirt, Springfield

This is what I wore yesterday.

Jeans on jeans. A look I’ve generally avoided but have grown accustomed to…slowly.

I do still wonder occasionally.

The handbag is one of my flea market finds and cost just a couple of euros. Let’s hear it for flea markets.

On a random note…

Currently Very Happy

I think we’ve established that I like blue.

I might have, also, mentioned that stripes are my weakness.

What I have not revealed is that I’m not a fan of traditional dress shirts, or more like they are not a fan of me. Long flowy ones are okay, but the rigid ones just never seem to fit me properly. They either stretch and pull in the all the wrong places or are too darn big.

So I’d basically given up on ever finding a proper grown-up version of a button-down shirt.

Then I saw this shirt in a store on…say it with me…sale, and since it had the deadly combination of blue and stripes, I had to try it on. Well, nobody put a gun to my head, so ’had to’ is relative.

Surprisingly enough, the shirt fit. Turns out the problem may not have been my body, but the quality of my previous shirts, which was possibly a bit questionable.

Apparently, fabric does matter.

Me and my dress shirt are currently very happy in our new relationship and are excited for our future together.
