Trying New Things #2

I’ve never really spent that much time or money on skin care, except for the occasional facial then and now. I, usually just wash my face, put on some moisturiser (the cheaper the better) and be done with it. But since I’m not getting any younger, and my skin is definitely not getting any better, I figured it might be time to start giving a shit. Pardon my French. In result, I’ve been eyeing different skin care products here and there, trying to decide which ones to try…Or to be honest which ones are not too expensive. 

Frankly, I’ve always been a bit sceptical about facial oils and serums, because I’ve never seen the point of them, so when I saw this vitamin oil from Mossa, on sale, I still had my doubts. You know, a person can have a whole existential crisis, while trying to decide whether or not to buy a tiny bottle of oil. 

Am I really the kind of person that is going to use facial oil? Am I the kind of person that is going to buy a bottle of facial oil and then never use it? Am I the kind of person that is going to spend way too much time thinking about whether or not to buy a bottle of facial oil? Yes, I am. 

Anyway, in a surprise twist, I bought the oil.

And as it turns out, I’ve been using it regularly ever since. I’m still not sure, if the oil has any considerable effect on my skin or not. Obviously, it helps when my skin is dry, but then again so does a moisturiser…You see, I’m still a sceptic.

However, I do like the feel of the oil on my skin, so I may buy a new one, when I’m done with this bottle.

Tätä hankintaa edelsi pieni eksistentiaalinen kriisi siitä olenko ihminen, joka tarvitsee ja käyttää tällaista tuotetta. Skeptikko ei ole huomannut mitään erityistä muutosta ihon kunnossa, mutta öljy tuntuu silti hyvältä pintakuivalla iholla – varsinkin näin talvella ja keväällä.

Ehkä minusta voi siis joskus vielä tulla kasvoöljyjen puolestapuhujakuiskaaja.
