Trying New Things #3 (Shopping Spree Edition)
My traditional once-a-year shopping spree in a cosmetics store went…well. Not according to my wallet, mind you, but I think we’re on a break anyway, because we have differing values.
But that’s enough about my break-up with my wallet. We’ll sort it out eventually. Let’s move on to what I got during my shopping spree.
My first find was a Mossa micellar water, which actually does clean and moisturise, just like the bottle says. My inner sceptic got a tiny kick in the ass with this one, and it’s nice to be pleasantly surprised every now and then.
The micellar water was also the one thing (along with the hand cream) I was actually searching for, so…Yay for me!? Mission accomplished.
After that things went a bit off the trails. Just a bit…
I decided to buy my first ever contour palette, by Gosh, which I’m now scared of trying out. Not because I have a fear of contour palettes, but because I have a fear of looking like a sad clown or mime. (I don’t really know which is the worse option.)
Just in case it wasn’t clear, I’m not very good with makeup. I mainly exist on BB cream, mascara and some occasional lipstick.
I might have to look up a few tutorials for this one.
Of course, it also dawned on me, at the last minute, that I might need a brush for blending, which is how I ended up staring at a ridiculous number of makeup brushes, trying to desperately figure out which one I should get.
How many brushes are there?! I’m seriously asking.
And what kind of magic can you do with all of those tiny tiny things?
In the end, I got this Real Techniques setting brush…Whatever the heck that is. Hopefully, it will do.
Anyway, as a palate cleanser, I decided to get this Clean Fresh Laundry perfume, which I had been eyeing for a while…and it was on sale, so another yay for me!
I’ve been gravitating more and more towards subtle scents, so this one is now my go-to perfume.
