Viime viikonloppuna suuntasimme pois Pariisin ihmisvilinästä ja vietimme pitkän viikonlopun merellisessä Bretagnessa, Atlantin rannalla sijaitsevassa Saint-Malon kaupungissa. Merenrannan tyttönä ihastuin tähän tuuliseen ja historialliseen rantakaupunkiin ensisilmäyksellä: oli pehmeää hiekkaa, karuja rantakallioita, sekä merta, merta ja merta. Nousuvettä ja laskuvettä, sekä alati muuttuvia maisemia. Trop belle! Kävelimme rannalla, kuuntelimme aaltoja ja söimme crêpejä, galetteja sekä tuoretta seafoodia. Vaikka Pariisi on upea, on kaupungin vilkkaudesta välillä ihana ottaa vähän taukoa.

Last weekend we left the busy Paris for a while and spent a long weekend in the maritime Brittany, in a city called Saint-Malo on the beautiful Atlantic coast. Being a seaside girl at heart, I completely fell in love with this windy and historical little town: the soft sand, ascetic cliffs, and the sea, the sea and the sea. The magical tide and the ever-changing view. Trop belle! We walked on the beach, listened to the waves and ate crêpes, galettes and the fresh seafood. Although Paris is wonderful, sometime it’s lovely to take a little break from the lively life of a big city.
