Tämä on Shadow. Shadowillakin oli joskus oma koti, se kuului vanhalle pariskunnalle. Vaimon kuoltua miehen alkoholinkäyttö paheni entisestään. Shadow oli kytkettynä lyhyeen ketjuun takapihalla eikä se säästynyt lyönneiltä. Lopulta alkoholi vei miehen sairaalaan. Öisin arka ja ihmisiä pelkäävä Shadow uskaltautui syömään eläinsuojelijan jättämää ruokaa. Yhtenä yönä Shadow saatiin tarhalle turvaan, siellä se opettelee pikkuhiljaa taas luottamaan. This is Shadow. Shadow used to belong to an old couple. After wife died husband started to drink heavily. Shadow was living in a backyard tied by chain and  beaten by husband. Drinkin took him finally into hospital. Scared and shy Shadow venture out at night to get some food from local activist who manage to catch him. In the shelter Shadow is learning to trust again.
