Every decade needs its own manual of handicraft. /Liberty Hyde Bailey

Hey! I am one of those people who don’t really are into handicrafts. It’s messy, slow, frustrating, and oh my God if the result is not what you expected… But this tutorial I am going to write is definetely very easy to do, and the success is guaranteed. This is surely going to be 1) unique 2) creative and 3) very cute. So, what I am going to show then? I am going to show how to make your own burqa bracelet!

Burqa is Emirati khaleeji women’s attribute. It’s a disappearing  traditional accessory. I think I also should mention that burqa is not Islamic but cultural tradition;) Nowadays young girls tend to love it more than ignore it. Of course girls don’t wear it daily, but they love to have it at home and take some cool pictures of themselves while wearing it and posting them on flickr, blogs and sites or having it for national celebrations and so on. Also famous mini burqa bracelets and t-shirts are in demand on local markets.

Now I’d like to show how to make your own mini burqa bracelet just to entertaining yourself. :)

Step 1) I draw my idea to measure the size and shape. Find the materials: I used thick piece of chocolate’s pack (dark brown color). I think it would be better to use a piece of thick leather, for example from any old leather belt.

Step 2) Use ”golden” thread and nail polish to protect from getting wet; and 6 crystals to decorate it. That’s it.:)

And here’s a picture also of ”real” burqa! 31156tayma2.jpg

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and as always, feel free to heart and comment;)
