This summer has been everything else than lovely. Raining, cloudy, not so warm. Oh gosh, how I miss the sun and the days when temperature rises over 40 degrees…I love decorating my room over and over again, I think it’s never perfect. For example, I might see picture of a perfect, and then I just want to make my room look like that one. In one day I might love Bollywood -feeling, next day Upper East Side -look, and in third day colorful Latin American -look. At the moment, my room looks pretty nice. I have mix and matched a several looks, and I have Upper East Side on black-and-white decoration posters, colorful Latin on my jewelry stand and warm, comfortable look in my bed.

I am pretty fanatic about Feng Shui, I must confess. I have collected five easy steps for more serene home, and these are very easy to carry out. These easy Feng Shui tips makes for example your bedroom relaxing place where’s good to clear the head and lower your stress level.

1) Get rid of vain swag. Hide or lose from your eyes all those little things, which cause stress. Keep visible only those things brings you joy and which you really like.

2)Decorate with shades of water.Certain color shades calms mind. Blue increases creativity and well-being, green creates a feeling of new life.

3) Make some space. A room which is squeezed full of things might cause a feel of tension. Oranize the tools so, that there is at least 75 cm (29 inch.) spece to move.

4) Bring the nature in. Open the curtains to let the natural light to light the space. Place green plants different parts of the room. Plants brings a feel of life, growth and oxigen.

5) Balance the materials. Softer the overall with something cosy, like soft-looking sofa or hefty pillows. Soft elements brings consolation and comfortness, hard things stability.

Happy decorations for you, and feel free to leave a comment in English or in Finnish;)
