Frames for spring

Olen itse käyttänyt laseja lähes päivittäin jo 15 vuoden ajan, joten uusien kehyksien sovittelu on aina erityisen hauskaa! Kehyksillä kun voi tuoda kasvoille niin paljon uutta ilmettä hyvin pienellä vaivalla. Mulla itselläni on hyvin leveät kasvot, joten ollessani lasiostoksilla ja käydessäni naisten mallistoa läpi, aloitan ensin etsimällä ne kaikista leveimmät kehykset. Yleensä etsin niiden kaveriksi muutaman parin myös miesten osastolta, josta leveämpiä laseja tuntuu löytyvän hieman helpommin. Mun mielestä sillä ei ole mitään merkitystä, että miltä osastolta ne omat suosikkilasit löytyy. Tällä hetkelläkin mulla on käytössä kaksi paria laseja, joista toiset on miesten osastolta. 

I’ve had glasses for 15 years now so trying out new frames is always super fun! You can change your look so easily by changing your glasses. I have quite a wide face so whenever I’m choosing frames from the women’s section I have to start by finding the widest ones. Usually, I try to find some cute ones from the men’s section since they seem to have a wider fit. I don’t think it really matters in which section you find your glasses from. At the moment I have two pairs of glasses and one of them are from the men’s section.

Kuten edellisessä postauksessa kerroinkin, niin pääsin Inspiration Blog Awards -gaalassa tutustumaan Instrumentariumin kevätuutuuksiin. Tällä kertaa mun silmää miellytti erityisesti neutraalit värisävyt, metalliset kehykset ja isot linssit. Tuo viimeinen kohta on sellainen, joka on ollut oma suosikki jo pidemmän aikaa erityisesti aurinkolaseissa. Leveiden kasvojen ja korkeiden poskipäiden takia koen, että isot linssit istuvat mun kasvoille paremmin. 

Mun suosikkikehykset Instrun osastolta olivat nämä hopeiset Chloen kehykset, jotka muistuttavat mua mun papan silmälaseista muutamia vuosia takaperin. Nämä pappalasit tuntuvat olleen hyvin suosittuja viime vuosien aikana. Netissä valikoimaa selattuani bongasin myös naisten osastolta Fendin ja Michael Korsin kehykset, jotka ovat keväisen hempeitä väritykseltään ja materiaalina on tietenkin se mun tykkäämä metalli. Päätin katsoa myös muutamia miesten kehyksiä aiemmin mainitsemastani syystä ja sieltä mun silmää miellytti eniten nämä Ray-Banit.

As mentioned in the last post, I got to go through some of the Instrumentarium’s newest glasses at the Inspiration Blog Awards. This time my eye was drawn to the neutral, metallic frames with big lenses. That last one is something that I’ve been liking for a few years now especially when it comes to sunglasses. I think that bigger lenses look better on me since I have a wide face and quite big cheekbones. 

My favorites from Instrumentarium this spring were these silver Chloe frames. These actually remind me of my grandpa since he wore these type of glasses a while back. These type of glasses have seemed to be trending again for the last few years. I also went through the collection online and spotted two pairs from the women’s section. These Fendi and Michael Kors frames had that cute and light color scheme with metal frames. I also decided to go through the men’s section and found these gorgeous Ray-Ban frames from there.
