Neiti kesäheinä Voguen kannessa

Katy Perry poseeraa ensimmäistä kertaa Voguen kannessa lehden jenkkiversion heinäkuun numerossa. Kansikuvan ja lehden sivuilta löytyvän editorialin on valokuvannut legendaarinen Annie Leibovitz.

Kansi ja kuvasarja henkivät perinteistä maalaistunnelmaa. On kanoja, latoja, heiniä ja kukkaketoja. Fiilis on mukavan kesäinen. Katy Perryn yllä nähdään mittatilaus Michael Korsia, Oscar de la Rentan haute couturea, Dolce & Gabbanaa ja Zac Posenia. Kuvista tulee mieleen jopa klassikkotarina Ihmemaa Ozin Dorothy.

Itse olisin tosin valinnut kanteen kuvan, jossa Katyn yllä nähdään punainen nahkahame ja musta olkapäät paljastava neulepusero. Siinä Katyn katseeessa on mielestäni enemmän kansikuvamaista intensiteettiä.

Toisaalta, ehkä se Anna tietää paremmin mikä siinä kannessa oikeasti myy…

Katy Perry is posing for Vogue for the first time in July 2013 (US) issue.

The rustic cover and editorial was photographed by Annie Leibovitz. In the editorial Katy is wearing Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta, Dolce & Gabbana and Zac Posen. Dare I even say that the overall feeling and look is very Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz!

If it were me choosing the cover though, I would have chosen the picture where Katy is wearing the red leather skirt.  There’s just something in that picture…

But what do I know? Better just let Anna do her thing!
