Mitä tehdä Napolissa: TOP 3

1. Syö pizzaa. 

Ihan sama missä. Tietenkin Antica Pizzeria da Michele, Gino Sorbillo ja Pizzeria Di Matteo ovat suosituimmat – ja niihin saat kyllä varmasti jonottaa. En osaa sanoa, ovatko hypetyksen väärti, sillä me päätimme mennä paikkoihin, jossa on tilaa. Oluet ja pizzat yhteensä 14 euroa. Pizza oli silti taivaallista. Kuinka väärin muka margheritan voisi tehdä Napolissa? 

2. Vieraile maan alla:  La Napoli Sotterranea

Arkeologiasta ja historiasta kiinnostuneelle MUST juttu Napolissa. Odotin tätä ehkä eniten – halusin pienenä arkeologiksi. Kävelin tolppaan päin kesken kierroksen, sillä olin niin keskittynyt kuuntelemaan opasta ja seuraamaan karttaa. Sattui… Tämä visiitti toi sisäiselle intoilijalleni varsin suurta tyydytystä. Saatat joutua jonottamaan, mutta so what. Me menimme heti aamusta. 

3. Hyöri ja pyöri Chaian & Espanjalaisten kortteleiden ja Vomeron alueilla ja niiden välissä

Täällä saat kokea Napoin esteettisen ja rauhallisen puolen. Kulje ilman päämäärää. Ja eksy vaikka ravintolaan Osteria Da Tonino, niin kuin me, ja syö onnekkaan halvalla järkyttävän hyvää ruokaa. Oh my. Suosittelen kävelemään esimerkiksi Espanjalaiselta korttelilta Via Chaiaa niin, että lopulta päädyt funiculare-junan pysäkille, jolla voit matkustaa ylös Vomeroon.

What to do in Naples: TOP 3

1. Eat pizza. 

In whatever pizzeria. Of course Antica Pizzeria da Michele, Gino Sorbillo ja Pizzeria Di Matteo are the most popular ones – and you’ll have to wait to get there. I cannot say if the pizza is really for the hype, since we went to pizzerias where we could get right in. Pizza was anyway heavenly. How could you even ruin a margherita in Naples?! 

2. Visit the underground – La Napoli Sotterranea (location here)

For someone interested in archaelogy and history, La Napoli Sotterranea is a MUST. I was really looking forward to the experience. When I was a child I wanted to be an arcaelogist. I was so excited about it, that I even bumped into a pole during the round. It did hurt… Anyway, the visit was really satisfying! You may have to wait, but so what. We went there early in the morning.

3. Walk around the area between Chaia & Spanish Quartiers & Vomero 

Here you’ll experience the aesthetic and peaceful part of Naples (and maybe even romantic). Walk without destination. Drop by a restaurant Osteria Da Tonino like us and eat beautiful food, which is also very fairly priced. I especially recommend a walk tour starting from the Quartiers, going through Via Chaia and then heading up to Vomero by the funiculare tram.
