Previous experiences of Rovaniemi as a all-year-around Christmas destination

I´ve been in Rovaniemi few times as a kid, mainly aheading to Levi region from there. I was in a way lucky to  experience Levi in the 90´s so it was just a small place, yet growing relatively slowly every year back then. We rented nice apartments or cottage-style of small houses, skied (alot!), (always 250 grams of Fazerin sininen with us in the forrest) :), sauna of course and went to a tanssiravintola to listen suomi-iskelmää or other very finnish music. Sorry about the finnish words but no translations available for these ”special” words to describe enough specified in english.

But yeah then I´ve been in Rovaniemi two-three times as an adult. One was in 2010 if I remember correctly when I applied to study tourism bachelor+master degrees to University of Lapland. I got 0,5 (yes, half point) under the limit to get inside, made a letter of request and everything. Yeah, I did everything I could, but not get in. Well maybe it was meant to be since I am now here where I am 🙂 But that’s another story.

Since I cannot publish at the moment my childhood photographs from Rovaniemi and Christmas stuff to been experienced there back in the 90’s I stick into Fazerin Sininen.

Maybe other photos coming later on.
