The Drums – Visiomento
Kahtena edellisenä vuonna obsessiojulkaisut ulos tuonut the Drums julkaisee uuden pitkäsoiton jo, ohhoh, syyskuussa!
Siinä missä Portamento näyttää kansikuvan perusteella hemmetin lupaavalta, on audio-osasto jättänyt vielä vähän kylmäksi.
Money on singlenä — ainakin Drums-singlenä — vain välttävä. Kevyet synat ja säkeistöjen astetta aneemisempi vokalisointi miellyttävät, mutta koukut ovat vain keskinkertaisia.
Eilen yhtye julkaisi uuden Visiomento-videoproggiksen. Saatesanat kuulostavat aika suureellisilta…

In response to this deluge of social media and watching, The Drums are pleased to announce the premier of Visiomento, a new series of broadcasts from our very own private CCTV network. Through Visiomento, we will offer a candid and intimate glimpse inside of our studio. We will feature special guest appearances and interviews with artists and musicians we admire. We will broadcast in-studio performances of songs from our new album, Portamento. We will discuss curious topics of interest and provide you with news and updates relating to The Drums.
We submit our selves to the cyber-airwaves, and surrender to transmission.”

No joo. Ensimmäinen video, What You Were, ei sekään vielä ihan hirveästi sykähdytä, vaikka Joy Divisionilta näyttääkin.
Odotellaan nyt kuitenkin. Ei sitä tarvita kuin yksi I Felt Stupid, niin olen taas aika mennyttä miestä.
