Art nouveau meets post-millenium-goth

Huomenia ihanaiset! Mulla on nyt hieman kestänyt tän postauksen kanssa… mutta nyt se tulee. Elikkäs viikko sitten Ofelia Marketin lavalla nähtiin hieman erilainen muotinäytös. Tai no erilainen ja erilainen… vaatteet eivät olleet sitä perus-massa-kauraa niin sanoakseni. Kyse oli Nini Van Deeringin näytöksestä, joka on vaatetusalan opiskelija Nina vehviläisen luoma alter ego, ja mallistosta nimeltään Dead Nouveau by Nini Van Deering. Minut tähän hommaan yhdisti monen mutkan kautta ystävä joka oli toteuttanut joitain näytöksen asuja, ja niin sain idean tehdä postauksen tästä aiheesta. Good morning you cuties! It has took a while to do this post, but here it comes. On last sunday we saw a bit different kind of fashionshow on the stage of Ofelia Market. Well… different and different, lets just say that the clothes were not so basic kind. It was Nini Van Deerings show. Nini is an alter ego of fashion student Nina Vehviläinen, and the collection was called Dead Nouveau by Nini Van Deering. I was connected to this by a friend who was helping to create these outfits, and that’s how I got the idea of this post. You can see Ninis artwork and blog from here.

Mullahan on menneisyydessäni paljon erilaisia kausia ollut pukeutumisen suhteen, ja kylläkyllä, sieltä löytyy myös tämä hieman goottimainen kausikin. Tuo kausi eri variaatioineen on ollut ehkä se pisimpään kestänyt, ja voisin sanoa että ihan viimevuosiin asti musta on ollut se vallitseva väri mun vaatteissa. Ja jonkinlainen tunneside on vieläkin havaittavissa kaikkeen nahkaan ja mustaan hörhelöön 😀

In my past there are lots of different periods in clothing, and yesyes, there is also this gothic kind period. Actually it was propably the longest lasting one. And for until couple of years now, my whole wardrobe was mostly black. So ofcourse I’ve got thes mentalband to all leather and black lace still in my head 😀

Tässä hieman tietoa suunnittelijasta. Nappasin tämän tuolta Ofelia Marketin infosta: ”Eräänä loputtomana inspiraation lähteenä Nini Van Deering mainitsee jo aikaisemmissakin mallistoissa vaikuttaneet makaaberit aiheet. Dead Nouveau by Nini Van Deering sai alkunsa art nouveau -tyylistä ja post-millennium-goottimuodista. Ideana oli näiden kahden yhteensovittaminen tavalla, jonka lopputuloksena syntyi Art Nouveaun synkempi puoli. Yksityiskohdista löytyy kultaa, tekonahkaa ja hyvinkin erilaisten materiaalien yhdistelyä aina sametista sifonkiin. Tietenkin mustana. Nini Van Deering on tällä hetkellä vaivihkaa siirtymässä uusille inspiraation lähteille Helsingistä suurkaupungin sykkeeseen. Alkuvuodesta 2014 hän jatkaa luovaa työtään Berliinissä uusien haasteiden ja tekniikoiden opiskelun parissa.”

Here are some info about the designer. I got this form the info page of Ofelia Market: ”One of the endless inspiration of Nini Van Deering are macabre subjects. Dead Nouveau by Nini Van Deering collection got it’s inspiration from art nouveau and post-millenium-goth fashion. The idea was combine these two in a way that creates the darker side of Art nouveau. In details there are gold, faux leather ja combining og very different materials, from velvet to shiffong. And ofcourse the colour is black. Nini van Deering is heading for the new inspirations from Helsinki to big city lights. In the early 2014 she continues her creative works in Berlin, with new challenges and learning new techniques.”

Kun näitä asuja kuvissa katselen niin voisin kyllä suurimman osan näistä vaatteista ottaa. Ne tois tosi kivaa särmää yhdistettynä jokapäiväiseen pukeutumiseen. Eli ei tarvii olla totally goth to wear these :D Jos lemppari pitäisi valita niin totta puhuakseni jäin todella kuolaamaan noita pitsi-nahka leggareita. Ne olis vaan niin makeet jonkun pehmeän pörröisen neuleen ja yksinkertaisten nilkkureiden kanssa.

Now that I look these clothes in the pics, I can honestly say that I could use the most of them. They’d give nice edge to my everyday clothing. So actually, you don’t have to be totally goth to wear these :D If I’d have to pick my favourite, it would be the leather-lace leggings, they’re to die for! I can easily see myself in those, with nice fluffy and loose knit and pair of simple ankle boots.
