Kun olin pieni tyttö, löysin aarteen. Tuo aarre oli kasa mun äidin vanhoja ja kuluneita vihkoja. Mutta ne ei olleet mitä tahansa vanhoja vihkoja, vaan jokainen vihko oli omistettu tietylle elokuvatähdelle. Mun äiti oli nuorena keräillyt kuvia, kortteja ja artikkeleita ihailemistaan tähdistä, ja liimannut ne sitten huolella jokaisen omaan vihkoonsa. Mun ehdoton suosikkin oli vihko, joka oli omistettu BBlle. Brigitte Bardot edusti mun mielestä ultimaattista kauneutta, ja mä pidin tuota vihkoa kallisarvoisena aarteena, aivan kuten äitini piti sitä ennen mua.

When I was just a little girl, I found a real treasure. That treasure was pile of my moms old and shabby notebooks. But they weren’t just old meaningless notebooks, each book was dedicated to one moviestar. My mum used to collect these pictures, articles and postcards of moviestars she admired when she was a little girl. Each card and picture was carefully glued on a notebook of that specific star. My number one favourite was notebook dedicated to BB. Brigitte Bardot represented my idea of ultimate beauty, and I cherished that book, just like my mom did before me, when she was a little girl.

Muistan kuinka katsoin kerta toisensa jälkeen elokuvan ”Ja jumala loi naisen”. BB oli villi ja vapaa. Tanssi pöydällä upeat vaaleat hiukset hulmuten, tehden miehet hulluiksi. Halusin olla isona ihan kuin Brigitte… tietenkään en ymmärtänyt tuota miesjuttua silloin ;D Siihen aikaan muhun iski eniten nämä nuoren Brigitten kuvat, kuten tuo allaoleva. Mutta nyt myöhemmin, eniten kolahtaa Brigitten hieman kypsempi tyyli.

I remeber watcing over and over again a movie called ”And god created a woman”. BB was wild and free. Dancing on a table, long blonde hair flowing, making every man crazy. I wanted to be Brigitte when I grow up… of course I didn’t understand that man thing back then ;D In those days the young Brigitte, like in picture below, was my favourite. Now, later and older, I prefer more her grown up adult style.

Nuo hiukset on ihan To die for!!! Tästä ei oo muuten hirveen kauan kun katselin joitain BBn kuvia joissa hänellä oli otsatukka, iski jumalaton halu leikata itselle myös ostatukka. Mutta onneks hillitsin itseni. Oon muutaman kerran tehnyt sen (otsatukan leikkuun siis) hetken huumassa, ja jo seuraavana päivänä kironnut itseni alimpaan helvettiin. Otsis sopii mulle ihan ok, mutta voi jeesus se sen hoito… mulla on ankee pyörre, ja niin voimakas jakaus, että joutuisin laittamaan hiuksia jokaikinen päivä, joten ei kiitos! Ja sitten tuo BBn tyyli, mä voisin käyttää jokaikistä noista asuista jotka on näissä seuraavissa kuvissa naisen päällä!

That hair is to die for!!! Not so long ago I saw a picture of BB with the bangs, I got a huge urge to cut one to myself too. Thank god I waited a few minutes. I’ve had these moments before and I’ve cutted a bang in a heat of the moment, and in next day I’ve cursed myself in the deepest hell. Bangs are okay for me, but my god how hard it is to take care. I’ve got somekind of whirl in my hair, and my parting is so strong, I’d have to fix my bangs every morning, so no thanks! And her style, I could wear each and every item she is wearing in those pics below!

Sen lisäks että nainen on upea ilmestys, kunnioitan hänen aktiivista eläinten puolesta puhumista. Mulle eläimet on hyvin tärkeitä. Kunnioitan jokaista eläintä, kastemadosta tiikeriin. En voi sietää ihmisten julmuuksia eläimiä kohtaan. Mulle eläimet on niin rakkaita, että jos mä johonkin hyväntekeväisyyteen rahaa annan, se menee eläimille. Ihmisten raakuus toisiaan kohtaan ei vaikuta muhun lainkaan niin paljon, kuin jos se kohdistuu eläimiin. Silloin nään punaista ja voisin taas kerran kuristaa koko ihmiskunnan.

Like there isn’t enough of her being such an beautiful woman with great style, I respect her, for what she has done to animals. I love animals. I respect all living creatures from worms to tigers. I can’t stand the cruelties people do to animals. Those creatures are so dear to me, that if I do any charity, it’s for animals. Peoples cruelty to each others is not that effective to me, but if it’s towards animals, I just see red and feel like I could strangle the whole humankind.

Mä en oo koskaan kokenut tarvetta kritisoida ihmisten tekemiä kosmeettisia korjausleikkauksia. Vaikka en niihin itse ehkä ryhtyis (never say never), on jokaisen oma asia mitä keholleen tekee. Mutta taas yks asia jonka takia tämä nainen on niin upea. Vaikka tyyppi oli aikansa seksisymboli, ei hän silti ole lähtenyt niin monen muun lailla ylläpitämään nuoruuttaan leikkausten avulla, vaan on antanut ajan tehdä luonnolliset temppunsa.

I’ve never felt any need to criticise people for the cosmetic plastic surgerys they might do. Even that I’m not that into those (never say never), it’s everybodys own business how to treat their bodies. But there it is again, one more thing why she’s so great. Even she was the sexsymbol of her own time, she hasn’t felt there is any need to keep up the youth with surgery. She has let the time do it’s things, as the nature does.
