Life lesson 1. Never say never, because you’ll be forced to eat your words sooner than later. Especially, when it comes to fashion.

Just a few years…months ago, I swore I’d never ever put on a pair of flared jeans. When skinny jeans came into fashion, I rejoiced the end of bootcuts. I danced around the remnants of flares.

I blame the trauma of never finding a suitable pair of flared jeans for my body – or to be more exact my legs. Every pair I owned was either too short or too loose.

But as is often the case with clothes, your perfect match may be lurking just around the corner.

I stumbled on this pair of flares in a clearance sale. Tried them on and…

They fit like a glove.

So here I am humbled before you – eating my words in a pair of flared jeans.
