Let’s start this right – I quit my job on Friday. I marched into my bosses office on Thursday and told her I couldn’t deal with the problems in my group. I WANTED to tell her how disapointed I was in her and how much I had hoped she would be a fair and just leader, but I didn’t. On Friday I said goodbye and left, feeling easy and happy.

I was supposed to go out with some friends on Friday night to watch a snowboard premi but since my phone broke I’m using a spare and it isn’t working quite the way I want, so I couldn’t get a hold of my homies and was a sad panda at home.

You can’t really say you’re unemployed coz it’s the weekend but I started off Saturday morning in bed carefully reading Elle’s Accessories issue for 2 hours. I love pretty jewlery, and although all you ever see me wear is a Thomas Sabo charm with Tinkerbell sitting on a pearl I was given by a former student, I own a massive amount of rings and necklaces.

Now, mostly I buy knicknacks from vending machines and small companies, plastic things I love to wear that are big, bulky and resilient.

Today, as a gift to myself, I bought the Marc by Marc Jacobs Silver Bottle Opener Ring Necklace. What a mouthful for such an elegant piece! It’s simple, rock and roll but chic. 

I also ended up buying 2 pairs of Acne jeans at a flea market and I’m VERY happy about it 🙂 I feel like I deserve them!
