Itsenäisyyspäivän asu
Olin näköjään unohtanut arkistojen kätköihin nämä asukuvat, jotka otettiin eräänä sunnuntaina sen jälkeen, kun kävimme ulkona syömässä. En tainnut olla kovin tyytyväinen kuviin, kun ne jäivät kokonaan julkaisematta. Näin jälkikäteen ne eivät enää kai näyttäneet ihan niin kamalilta 😉 Asusta tykkäsin kovasti, joten päätin sen siis teille tänne julkaista. Minulla on taipumusta pukeutua usein sinivalkoiseen, sisälläni taitaa siis asua pieni patriootti… Viime vuosina olen huomannut, että vaatekaappini väriskaala on alkanut muuttua siitä entisestä sateenkaarenkirjavasta kohti neutraalimpia, helpommin yhdisteltäviä sävyjä. Pidän edelleen väreistä, mutta en halua täyttää vaatekaappiani useilla tusinatuotteilla, vaan panostaa kestävämpiin ja laadukkaampiin vaatteisiin. (Tämä prosessi meneillään edelleen!) Siksi yleensä on helpompi valita sävy, joka käy kaiken kanssa.
Looks like I forgot to publish these outfit pictures that were take one Sunday after we went out to eat. I wasn´t a huge fan of these pictures so maybe that´s why I never posted them. Now they don´t seem that bad anymore 😉 I liked this outfit a lot so I decided to share these pics with you. I often wear white and blue together (the colors of the Finnish flag), maybe there´s a little patriot living inside of me… During these past years, I´ve noticed a significant chance in the color palette of my closet: when I used to go for 50 shades of rainbow (ha ha) now I gravitate towards more neutral colors that are easier to pair with any clothes. I still love color but I just don´t want to fill my closet with a million bad-quality products. Instead I want to invest in better quality and long-lasting pieces. (Slowly working on that.) So that´s why it´s usually easier to choose a neutral shade.

Heräsin tuohon peplum-trendiin valitettavan myöhään, osittain senkin takia että olin trendin kukoistaessa aika näkyvästi raskaana. Ai miten niin peplum ei näytä hyvältä pallomahan kanssa? :D Koska peplum-toppien kultakausi oli jo osittain ohi minun siitä innostuessa, jouduin etsiä tovin itselleni sopivaa peplum-toppia. Tämäkään ei ehkä ole se täydellinen leikkaus, sillä toivoisin topin olevan hitusen pidempi edestä. Ihastuin kuitenkin olkapäillä oleviin blingeihin, joten tämä toppi pääsi vaatekaappiani täydentämään.
Unfortunately I warmed up to the peplum trend a little too late – partly because I was quite noticably pregnant when the trend was blooming. And please don´t try to tell me that a peplum top would look good with a baby bump :D Anyway, because the trend was partially over when I started obsessing about it, it took me a while to find my own top. This isn´t the perfect fit for me either, I wish the hem in the front was a little bit longer. However, I love the bling details on the shoulders, and that´s why this top ended up in my closet.
